The Maintenance Supervisor’s duties and responsibilities include:
- Delivering effective daily leadership for the maintenance team. This includes assigning tasks, communicating expectations, holding team members accountable, and effectively communicating with all team members.
- Planning, prioritizing, assigning, supervising, reviewing and participating in all tasks related to facility maintenance
- Create and communicate work schedules for facility maintenance
- Assist in monitoring/controlling costs for labor, materials, and equipment
- Oversee the daily inspection of all amusement park rides ensuring safety standards are achieved and the appropriate documentation is completed each day.
- Responsibly handle emergency situations or after-hours calls for repair and maintenance
- Taking part in developing maintenance policies and standards for the organization
- To work hands-on with the rest of the Maintenance team assisting with equipment fixes, addressing issues, dealing with any maintenance related issues and repairs, and other daily maintenance duties.
- Coordinating training sessions in facility maintenance, safety procedures, and methods
- Planning daily tasks and delegating them to Maintenance Personnel
- To assist with the completion of all short and long-term projects in accordance to deadlines.
- Assist with ensuring proper working conditions of all equipment, and maintain all necessary documentation, licenses and permits.
- Maintaining preventive maintenance standards for HAPI facilities and equipment
- Routinely inspecting various elements of buildings and grounds, like elevators, fire alarms, security cameras and sprinkler systems
- Assist in hiring, scheduling, discipline, and training of Maintenance staff under the direction of the Director of Operations and Human Resources
- Must be willing to work all shifts (AM, PM, Holidays, Weekends).
Maintenance Supervisor skills and qualifications
- Technical expertise in areas such as plumbing, welding, electrical, engines, and carpentry.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to handle the day-to-day demands of the job
- Must know how to work safely with power tools, equipment, and with hazards such as oil, gasoline, solvents, and adhesives.
- Ability to identify issues and decide on required actions

Maintenance Supervisor experience requirements
- Five or more years of experience performing maintenance related duties
- Three or more years of direct supervisory experience
Maintenance Supervisor education and training requirements
- High school diploma or its equivalent.
- Training certificate(s) from a vocational school or college program preferred.
- Knowledge of quality assurance, environmental, health, and safety standards is essential.
